Betty, with her unwavering kindness, occupied a place of distinction in my heart. As a revered member of the esteemed board of directors of the Arkadelphia Council on Aging, her influence and benevolence knew no bounds. My endeavours to provoke laughter, often through my jests and puns, were met with her familiar groans, a testament to our enduring camaraderie.
I remain profoundly grateful for the countless occasions when Betty graciously offered to accompany me on journeys to Hot Springs, in pursuit of the precious elixir of life—drinking water. In those moments, her resolute clarity of mind and sage counsel proved invaluable. Time spent in her presence was never in vain, for she possessed the rare ability to uplift spirits and foster a lightness of being.
Fond memories resurface of our shared picnics when Betty's arrival was met with eager anticipation. Adorned with her signature dish, the delectable deviled eggs, she brought a culinary delight that perfectly complemented our convivial gatherings. Alas, her absence shall be acutely felt, but her memory shall endure, etched forever in the annals of remembrance.
Betty, a luminous soul, shall forever be treasured and revered. Though we mourn her loss, we vow to carry forth the essence of her spirit, ensuring she shall never be forgotten.
